The Statue of Liberty from Ellis Island |
To forget one's ancestors is
to be a brook without a source, a tree without a root. |
By competing the Ancestry Project you will learn more about your ancestors and how their lives intersected with the events of their times. Some of your ancestors may have been born in the United States. Others came here from abroad, like those who entered this country through
Ellis Island. I hope you enjoy the process of learning more about your family. Past students have found information
about their families that had been long forgotten. Others have heard stories they had never heard before.
Everyone comes away with a renewed understanding and appreciation for
those who came before them.
